  • Sociology

The department aims to provide cadets the insight and background that will help them understand the main areas of analysis in sociology including society, social life, interactions, groups, culture, institutions and structures, and increase their cultural awareness and develop a social historical perspective on the other branches of humanities such as history, economics and psychology. “Army Sociology” is a relatively new branch of sociology. It is an area of study gaining popularity since the 1950s within the tradition of American sociology although it is not very common in our country.
