    The Department of Foreign Languages’ mission is to impart to cadets the communication skills in foreign languages necessary for military leaders to be successful in global context and to develop cross-cultural and regional competencies on international arena with a leading team of innovation and excellence in language teaching. The department offers language courses in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek and Russian. The foreign language education at Turkish Military Academy is basically designed in line with the principles of the Natural Approach (NA). NA is the most prominent representative of Comprehension-based approaches which are being applied in all educational institutions in Turkish Armed Forces.

    Foreign Languages Training Center

    Cadets can use rich sources of foreign language books, computer-assisted language learning material and other audio-visual material in Foreign Language Training Center. Foreign language teachers recommend their low-proficient students to spend extra time at Foreign Language Training Center under the guidance of an expert instructor. Cadets can also study independently to improve their foreign language skills.
