SUPPLY AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT

Purpose and Content

Today, as a natural consequence of globalization, the importance of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management has increased. Developments have caused the value chain approach beyond the harmony and coordination dimension of logistics and supply chain management. While the value created a priority of competition for the companies, all organizations also increased their management efficiency. In this competitive environment, having the supplies and service needed in order to carry out the practices, in the right place, right quantity and right time, makes the organizations superior and increases the efficiency of the purpose. In this content, today the need for studies in the area of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management has become one of the most necessary topics.

Supply and Logistics Management Graduate Program is considered as a two-stage and integrated program of Master’s degree and Doctorate. The program consists of the development of supply and logistics concepts, strategies and planning topics, the conceptual approaches, quantitative methods to the practices. The aim of this program is to study Supply and Logistics Management not as a subtopic of logistics but as an interdisciplinary professional field in itself. Thus especially in hierarchical organizations for the personnel who are going to serve as planner and operator, academic information will be given and to create scientific approaches to problems will be provided.

The Purpose of Master’s Degree Program with Thesis is to provide to reach information with scientific research, to get the ability to evaluate and interpret information. The aim of Supply and Logistics Management master program is to make participants to have conceptual knowledge about the topics of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management.

The Purpose of Doctorate Program is to achieve independent research, examine and interpret scientific cases with a wide perspective and to be able to decide the necessary steps in order to reach new synthesis. In the supposed doctorate program, participants are provided to make conceptual and analytic synthesis about Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management with a wide perspective.
